You have hydrostatic water pressure in your basement. What is the cost involved (estimates)? Is it priced per square foot? And can the cracks in the basement floor be fixed after fixing the water issue?

Answers:

Normally pricing is based on the linear footage of the system. This can usually run between $30 $40 per foot for a basic system (estimates as of Summer 2005, Southern California). There are also other costs involved for additional products, which may be needed.

Cracks in the floor can be patched or sealed in needed but you should have a local professional take a look at them first.
