For an interior waterproofing solution, say two different companies have proposed similar solutions (cutting a channel in the floor and installing drain pipe that will convey the water to a sump pump). They differ on the drain pipe to be used: One company proposes using rigid white drain pipe with slits every foot, and the other proposes using the flexible corrugated drain pipe with slits cut into the plastic fairly randomly. Which drain pipe is better or is there a difference?

Possible solution:
A third option may be the best: Waterguard, which is rigid and sits on the footing not down in mud. The other two are basically the same. There are also many other things to consider like the sump system, airtight top, alarms, ice guard for frozen discharges, battery backups, wall coverings, and many other possible options.
