These extensions take downspout water from the roof and drain it 10 feet or more from a building structure's foundation helping to prevent wet basements and damp walls.

While controlling downspout water is not the only part of the solution to waterproofing basements, no one will argue that getting this water away from the foundation is important. The LawnScape downspout extension takes the downspout water underground into a PVC pipe. This pipe runs about 10 feet away from the foundation, and ends at a "bubbler pot". Water runs through the pipe and into the bubbler pot, which lets it overflow onto the ground, hopefully sufficiently away from the house where it is less likely to saturate the soil around the foundation.

Lawn mowers may pass over the bubbler pots without damaging them as they are down in the ground, much like a lawn sprinkler head. The bubbler pot lid can be removed to clean leaves or debris.
