A fellow handyman will be putting in drain pipe with silt sleeve and filling the entire excavated area around the basement walls with gravel.
He is not sure about the best method or product to use to seal the exterior of the block walls, but he is looking at Drylok and Eco-Flex. He is also looking at putting a coating of radon seal under either of these products. These seem to be better than tar or just smearing the blocks with mortar. Are there any other recommendations for the best sealer to use on below grade block walls?
Suggestions:
There are many products out on the market for exterior new construction waterproofing. We suggest looking into a rubber or modified asphalt coating that is rated as waterproofing. You can also check out Tuff-N-Dry, Rub R Wall, Marflex or HouseGuard.
